Warp Words terms of use

Last updated 7 November 2026

In short

1. Using Warp Words

Warp Words is a spelling game for a child, set up and managed by a parent or guardian. By using the app you confirm that you are that parent or guardian, or that one has agreed to these terms. The app runs on iPad as the child's game and on iPhone as the parent's app. Warp Words is published on the App Store by Jon Adair. The server behind the AI features and this website are run by Caldair Creative Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold. The terms of the licence are Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (the standard EULA), which you can read on Apple's website. If these terms and Apple's licence disagree about the licence itself, Apple's licence applies. We keep all rights in the app, its artwork and its content that are not given to you.

3. Warp Words Plus subscription

4. Acceptable use

Please use Warp Words only for its purpose, which is to help a child practise spelling. Do not:

We can stop access to the server if these rules are broken.

5. AI-made content

When the AI features are on, example sentences, word pictures, planet names and bosses are made by AI services. AI output can be wrong, odd or unsuitable. The parent reviews AI pictures and sentences before the child sees them, and the parent is responsible for deciding what the child sees. The app has a way to report a picture that is unsuitable or does not show the word. We try to filter AI output, but we cannot promise that every picture or sentence is correct or suitable.

Pictures and sentences are kept by word and shared between families, as the privacy policy explains.

Warp Words is a practice tool. It does not replace teaching, and we do not promise any result in a spelling test.

6. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected.

Otherwise, as far as the law allows, the app and the AI features are provided as they are, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Changes and ending

We may update the app, the server and these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app. We can stop providing the AI features, for example if a provider stops its service, and we will tell you if that happens. You can stop using Warp Words at any time by deleting the app and cancelling the subscription with Apple.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales can decide disputes, though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
